Martingale

While most roulette strategies are so complex, the Martingale strategy is simple and straightforward so that anyone can use it, including the newcomers. It's also a common strategy in other online casino games, and even sports betting. The idea in Martingale is to double the bet size after every loss.

To use the Martingale, find a table with minimum bets. This way, a player will have enough to double the bets a few more times before recouping the lost money. There's also another variant of the Martingale strategy called reverse Martingale. Here players double the bet size after winning and reduce the bet size after a loss.

Fibonacci

This is a rather complicated strategy for beginners, but once they understand the Fibonacci sequence, it becomes easy. The strategy is based on the real Fibonacci sequence in mathematics: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, etc. In Fibonacci, every third number is the sum of the preceding two.

In Fibonacci, when it's a win, the next bet amount is two numbers back in the Fibonacci number sequence. On the other hand, for losses, the following bet amount should be the next number in the series. It's all about increasing or reducing the stake, but by following the Fibonacci sequence.

D'Alembert

This is another strategy, quite similar to Martingale and Fibonacci, in that it's all about increasing and decreasing bet amounts. In D'Alembert, players increase the stake by 1 if they lose and reduce it by 1 when they win. The fact that the changes are just by 1 makes this strategy among the safest.

Do Roulette Strategies Work?

Well, there is no single roulette strategy that guarantees winning. Roulette is purely a game of chance. However, the likes of Martingale, D'Alembert, Fibonacci, among the other strategies, enhance the chances of winning. This is because players have a technical approach to the game as opposed to playing blindly.
