Progressive baccarat is a variation of the classic baccarat game that requires 52 decks of cards and seven or nine players. In live progressive baccarat, there's an additional side bet, a progressive payout, and a live dealer. Each player's position comprises three spots for placing bets: Player, Banker, and Tie. In addition, there's a jackpot sign that displays progressive values and notifications.
Progressive baccarat's most significant appeal is its jackpot. With a relatively small wager, five- or six-figure winnings are possible. Casinos that offer live baccarat seed the original jackpot. The seed value of a progressive baccarat prize can range anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000. As punters place more side bets, the jackpot grows. Afterwards, the live casino will deduct a small portion of each side bet to fund the jackpot. This prize keeps burgeoning until someone wins.

A live baccarat player must place a regular bet plus a side bet to be eligible for the progressive jackpot and other side payouts. Thankfully, many live casinos require a small amount for the side wager, e.g., $1, so almost all players can afford it. The odds of winning may not be the greatest, but they are more attractive than what the average slot games give.
For every live game, the rules are essential to follow. Here are some basic steps:
1. A player places a bet on the Player or Banker's hand, followed by a side bet (the Tie)
2. A live dealer cuts and shuffles a two-card hand to the Banker and Player
3. No more cards will be drawn if the Banker and Player positions have a sum of 8 or 9 on the initial two cards. The hand is over (natural) in this case.
4. The player may draw a third card if the Player hand has 5 or less
5. If the Player hand doesn't take the third card, the Banker hand will stand on 6 or above
6. A Banker draws a third card if it has a 2, 1 or 0, no matter the value of the Player hand's third card
7. The Banker's hand draws a third card if it's 3 except when the Player hand is 8
8. The Banker draws a third card if it's 4, except when the Player hand is 0, 1, 8, and 9
9. The Banker draws a third card if it's 5 when the Player's third card is 6 or 7
10. When the Banker's hand is 7, it stands
11. The hand that grabs a higher value close to 9 becomes the winner
12. If the first four cards have a combination of 9s, Player hands that wagered on the side bet win a jackpot based on the progressive payout settings
