The Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) is the organization tasked with regulating and licensing gambling operations in the Cagayan region. The body targets mainly online gambling operators in Asia. It prohibits Filipinos from gambling at online sites hosted locally in the Cagayan region. License Types Issued by CEZA

The CEZA is tasked with licensing various types of internet gambling on top of casino gaming. These include sports, poker, bingo, lottery, and scratch card gambling. CEZA issues three types of licenses, which are the following:

  • Online casino license: This is exclusively meant for online casino operators.
  • Bookmaker license: This is meant for bookmakers only.
  • Full license: This is intended for operators who offer all kinds of online gambling, including casinos, keno, lotteries, sports, poker rooms, etc.

Safety

CEZA is one of the most popular licensing bodies in the Asian market and has a lot to offer regarding player safety. The body has stringent licensing rules in place, which online casinos must meet when applying for a license. In addition, the body audits casinos regularly, and any found to have violated the rules of the game risks losing its license.
